Language Arts

Language Arts for Second Grade. Students over the course of the year will learn about nouns, verbs, adverbs, adjectives, compound words, and capitalization. Spelling Test will be given each week and will count to the Language Arts grade.

Math
Elementary Math Second Grade In Math this year your student will learn addition, subtraction, and some multiplication math facts. They will also learn about place value, ordering numbers, and measurement, as well as, a variety of other useful information to better help them to become great mathematicians.

Reading
Scott Foresman Reading Street Each week we will read about a new exciting adventure in our reading textbook. We will have a quiz on the story on Thursdays, and a Fresh Read quiz on Fridays.

Social Science
Social Science for Second Grade Social Studies and Science are my two favorite subjects to teach. I love them both. In Social Studies this year we will learn about what good citizens do,as well as, how to become a good citizen. In Science we will be studying about non-living and living things, animals, plants, and our earth, as well as, a variety of other things.
