Caroline Knowles, a freshman at GCHS, has been accepted to Columbia University’s Summer Program for High School Students where she will study Creative Writing.  The program is a three-week immersive academic experience on the Columbia campus in New York City.  At this program, students deeply engage their favorite subjects while living alongside high-achieving peers from over 75 countries, gaining independence and awareness of global, social and cultural realities.  Founded in 1987, Columbia University’s New York City-based Summer Program for High School Students offers high-achieving students an intensive and collaborative experience of college life in the Ivy League and the vibrancy of New York City.
