Masks will Continue to be required at all Gadsden City Schools.

January 17, 2022

Due to a two week total in excess of 300 COVID related absences, the Gadsden City School System will
extend its mask requirement until further notice. While we respect the opinions of those who are not in
favor of wearing masks, it remains our top priority to keep everyone as safe as possible. Because of the
latest CDC guidelines, we expect to have enough staff returning to schools to resume in-person
instruction. We will, however, monitor cases to determine when and if remote instruction is needed
entirely or on a school by school basis.
