Why Choose Gadsden City Schools
Students at Gadsden City Schools achieve excellence in every arena — from the classroom to the concert hall, the athletic field to the computer lab, and beyond. With award-winning elementary schools, competitive 6A athletics, more than two dozen advanced courses across middle and high school, and a performing arts program among the best in Alabama, Gadsden City Schools stand as a true beacon of opportunity for every student.
Academics
A great education begins in the classroom. Our district enjoys a long history of National Merit Semifinalists, millions in scholarship offered each year, and more than half of our graduates achieving college acceptance. Gadsden City High School and its feeder schools continue to set the bar for academic success in our region.
Technology
At Gadsden City Schools, classrooms are technology-driven learning environments that prepare students for the modern world. Technology is integrated into every level of instruction — not only enhancing learning, but also equipping students with the skills needed for tomorrow’s workforce through courses in digital design, computer maintenance, and networking fundamentals.
Performing Arts
High school students can explore their creativity through courses in piano, concert band, chorus, jazz band, drama, and technical theater. That same passion for the arts begins early, with dynamic visual arts, strings, and choral programs in the middle schools and engaging opportunities like Serendipity Day and visual arts instruction at the elementary level.
Career Training
Whether pursuing college or entering the workforce immediately after graduation, our students have access to numerous training and certification opportunities. This hands-on experience gives graduates a strong foundation and a clear advantage in securing rewarding, well-paying careers.
Athletics
Whether it’s on the field, in the pool, on the track or in the stands, Titan Pride runs deep. Gadsden City’s more than 30 competitive boys’ and girls’ athletic teams compete at the 6a level. So whether you are a spectator or an athlete, there’s a place for you at Gadsden City.
