Michelle Brooks

Special Education Specialist

Michelle Brooks serves as the Special Education Specialist. She is starting her twenty-fourth year in education with the Gadsden City Schools. Her experiences through the years have been as a Resource Special Education, Kindergarten, 1st grade, and 3rd grade teacher. She has served as an ARI Reading Coach, Afterschool Coordinator, Early Intervention Transition Coordinator, and preschool director. She graduated from Emma Sansom High School. Afterwards, she graduated from Auburn University with a Bachelor’s in Elementary Education, University of Alabama with a Master’s in Special Education and Instructional Leadership. Mrs. Brooks has a National Board Certification in Exceptional Needs Specialist.
